Serious Destashing, Part One

Feb 06, 2010 22:57

I acquired a LOT of BPAL in 2008 while down for the count due to back issues. I've not gotten to even try most of it, but it now needs to find new homes. I'm a graduate student with an unpaid internship, and the husband's job just went to half time. We're both looking for jobs now so we can pay our bills. My loss is your gain, as I have some ( Read more... )

OK.. I'm going to ask as well, even though it's a long shot.. would you happen to have any Spanked? :)

Babe, do you want first dibs on my second bottle of Spanked if I ever sell it?

Oh.. yes.. please! I'm getting to the point where I've found my "true love" BPALs, and although I cherish my collection of bottles and enjoy trying all the new ones as they come out, I'm trying to focus on getting the ones that I really do love and will wear all the time.

Unfortunately, most of the aforementioned true loves are extinct, Spanked being one of them. So I'd love first dibs, thank you so much for offering.

Has anyone told you yet today how gorgeous you are? :)

As someone with a way-too-massive collection who has tried over 1400 scents now...I couldn't agree more ( ... )

Yes, you can absolutely revel in hatred! I do it often.. but thankfully only for short periods of time, such revelry causes wrinkles yanno :D I hope your long ranty survey response gave someone at PayPal an eye-ache.

I have never seen the Floating Brain proto, nope. Nor a Blood Orange or Tulip SN. But you know I'm one of many who are always looking out for them for you. And don't feel bad about the Spanked - I've got a few 'rare' things that put me in a similar situation regarding swaps. Who knows, maybe one day we'll be able to make each others wishes come true.

Ok.. sorry to hijack your thread here Cortney, good luck with your sales :)

<3 It totally amazes me when people (and this includes quite a few I barely know or have swapped with only once) notify me of things on my WL! Although sometimes it leads to great sadness. Someone told me about an ebay auction for an empty of Neo-Tokyo with a perfect label (!) and two lab imps...I watched it and was planning to snipe...and it ended early because apparently someone contacted the seller and made a deal - which, btw, I would have heavily outbid. No response when I emailed the seller, either. I absolutely HATE when ebay sellers do that!

My paypal rant:

The site is poorly designed (it's unintuitive, it's difficult or impossible to find, change and view information, etc) , has virtually no user-controlled options (for changing the way one receives emails, in particular), the site runs more slowly than any site I regularly use (i.e. pages often take so long to load - or simply time out completely - that I have to log in again, and btw, PP has the slowest login process I've ever encountered), the customer service personnel ( ... )

Sadly, I was supposed to have an imp of Spanked. I won it in an auction. The person never sent it to me. I fell down on asking for it, due to being recovering from back surgery at the time.

Oh.. what a bummer! I hope the karma fairies took care of that person for you.

Thanks for getting back to me, I appreciate it. I'll keep an eye out to see what else you post for sale as you go through your stash. Cheers :)
