Important irrelevancies

May 22, 2006 21:01

No one will care about this but me, and I feel like I should post something more interesting to the world in my semi-annual reemergence to livejournal, but I don't have anything like that on my mind and I feel it better to get back into the swing of posting sooner rather than later. First thing I wanted to say is that I am very proud of Chicago White Sox fans today. Frank Thomas, the best player in White Sox history, returned to Chicago for the first time since leaving in a huff this offseason. I was a bit worried that they would boo him, which would be ridiculous. Frank Thomas was the best player in the history of the team. Sure, he was a surly pain in the ass, but man, what he could do with the bat was amazing. Hall of Fame worthy. And that needs to be celebrated, not the way he left the team. And it was. So I am proud.

One thing that is pissing me off though is MLB TV, through which I watch the White Sox games, is messed up. I can't get the games. I tried a fix that was listed on their faq, and now I can get it to come in, but the picture doesn't stick around. At least i get to hear the play by play though, that's better than nothing. I mean, I did pay like 80 bucks for the season, I don't want to just let this slide. Maybe the picture will fix after I restart. I'll try that later.

Bar exam class starts tomorrow. Everything I've heard says it's an exercise in just how boring something can be on the planet Earth. I will fight through it though.

Well, that's enough for now. Just a bit to whet the appetite. I'm sure if the bar class is as boring as people say that I'll have plenty of irrelevancies to post about, like, how the bar class would be better if the lecturer on the video was wearing the Donnie Darko rabbit suit because I would be too afraid to not pay attention, or something to that effect.
