Living is hard
He hadn’t been too sure if it’d been good idea to kiss Jared, but now he really didn’t mind when he felt him snuggle closer to his side deep in sleep. He knew he should be sleeping too, but his mind was a mass of confusion and he couldn’t calm down. Unconsciously, he ran his fingers through Jared’s messy hair and tightened his grip around his shoulders with his other hand.
“You’re thinking too loud.” His best friend tiredly breathed into his chest. To which Jensen hummed contentedly and placed gentle kiss on the younger man’s forehead.
“Sorry, didn’t mean to wake you.” He whispered back. Jared tipped his face towards him, smile tilting his lips. His hazel eyes were warm and inviting and Jensen wondered how he managed to resist him so long.
The kiss they shared was gentle and languid but the flames that flickered from it seared his lips and should have melted the world around them. As their lips tussled breathlessly for power, Jensen felt Jared take his face in hand. A flash of teeth as Jared smiled then bit into Jensen’s plush-soft lips sharp enough to make him moan in pleasure.
His tongue slipped past defenses and it was all he could do to keep up as Jared pressed on the assault. He swallowed the sweet taste that was Jared, short panting breaths; he sucked on Jared’s tongue. Moaning helplessly, Jared ran his hand down from his cheek to his hips almost desperately.
Jensen grabbed a fist full of that soft mop of hair and he rolled them over so he was on top. He broke the kiss and lifted his head so he could stare into the heat of Jared’s eyes. He was so beautiful his words caught. Jared’s eyes black with lust flickered from his lips to his eyes then back again almost pleadingly.
Eventually Jensen caught his breath and tried to speak “Jared…” he started “I think...I… I think I’m in…” he stopped and frowned, breathing deep, he tried to think of a way to express the extent of what he was feeling. Jared smirked and placed a small kiss on his lips.
“Yeah,” Jared said breathlessly,” I’m in love with you too.” Jared said and leaned up to kiss him all over again.

She had loved spending time with her mom. But having missed her daddy she was so excited that her daddy was coming home. It was an amazing bonus that, for the first time since she could remember everyone she loved would be in the same room together.
She had heard her grandma talking with mom, about having a little family gathering on the day when her daddy would be back and that meant that, she would be seeing her Chrisy-bear and his tiny girlfriend. And her uncle Eli with Kristin would be there too.
That’s why she was busy with baking and making snack for the day with mom and Donna. Smiling to his mom who was making green salad, she got back to mixing cookie dough. She was making them especially for Jared, coz cookies were her own and Jared’s favorite.

Watching her daughter make cookies was the cutest thing she had ever seen. It was something that she had never believed she could take a part of. Yet now that things were different it was like she could see the horizon that would save her.
Like Jensen always told her, she could not lose hope. If she lost hope, she was losing a hope for her entire family. That single fact and Sammy were the only things that got her through the darker times in her life. She was so grateful to Jensen for giving her both.
Jensen was the sole supporter of his family and maybe others were blind to it, but Jensen was the bravest person she had ever met. He had been like that even before they had met and had always fought to keep their little family together, no matter what.
Maddy smiled in the reminiscent memory of it all and ruffled her daughter’s hair. Sammy’s green eyes sparkled with joy and even though she knew Sammy was happy to be here, Sammy liked to be with her father more. Jensen was the protector and real parent of their daughter. And it didn’t bother her, like maybe it was supposed to. She knew personally the feeling that being around Jensen could give to you. And because of that Jensen and Sammy had a special connection which no one could break.

The doorbell rang, and Sam was there before it had finished playing its song. Maddy followed her, laughing just in time to see the door swing open. Jensen broke away from Jared’s embrace, his face turning a bright pink, obviously misjudging how fast Sam would rush to the door. The minute he saw Sam though, his embarrassment went. His smile was brighter than the sun as he dropped to the floor in his eagerness to hug her.
Jared smiled too, eyes lingering on Jensen like a magnet unable to let go and Maddy knew automatically what had transpired between the two while they were away. All she could think of was finally!
“I missed you so much,” Jensen said almost cocooning Sam in their space in the doorway. “You better have had fun because I’m not going let you go anytime soon. Maddy will have to visit you at my place instead.” Jensen smiled at Maddy to show he wasn’t completely serious.
“Are you sure you want to come here, there’s a line forming. It might be ages till we get in.” A voice joked from outside. Jensen chuckled and moved aside, Sam in his arms. Chris appeared with Sandy in tow and they all went inside to sit down.
“So…did Michael behave himself,” Maddy asked having heard of his holidays before.
“No,” Jared sniggered, glancing up at Maddy before looking back at Jensen who was grinning at Sam. “He threw this entire bucket of cold water on us this morning, saying that we needed to cool off…” Jared blushed and cut off realizing what he just admitted to. Sam giggled at Mike’s antics not understanding why he stopped talking.
“I can imagine,” Maddy laughed out loud.
“Aren’t you, like, supposed to take him on a date before that?” Chris broke the secrecy easily and got 3 glares and Jensen sputtering in response as he tried to think of what to say. Sandy pinched him hard making him yelp. Sam thought that was funny too.
“What I’m just saying!” Chris cried. He held his arms out to Sam and she reluctantly let go of her Dad. “See! Somebody loves me.” He stuck his tongue out at Sandy. Sandy laughed wondering where she’d picked this child up from.
