I've doing a guest-blog thing today, talking about writing alternate history and being the master of my own creation. :)
Ancient Steampunk.
It is really a lot of fun to play with exactly what Romans might have developed with an extra five hundred years. If I ever write a long series set in this universe, I suspect I will have to get to the literal steam engine.
Not to mention flintlocks and such.
