So, uh... [Jack starts the video feed by not looking directly at the camera, moving one hand to rub the back of his neck, but that changes by the time he continues.] I noticed there are a lot of people out there looking for work, so... I thought I might as well throw my hat into the ring.
I'm no academic, but back home I worked on the family farm for as long as I can remember, so I'm good for physical labor... I'm pretty good with my hands, too, and I can fix most things if I can see how they work. [He pauses.] I, uh... I guess I'm also pretty good with handling weapons, though I don't really know what use that might be here. I have...certain powers, too, but I'd rather not use those if I can avoid it. [By the halt and tone of his voice, it sounds like he'd rather not talk about them, either.]
I'd be willing to take just about any sort of job, though, as long as the pay is fair, so... Thanks for hearing me out. [He still doesn't seem too sure about this, but he cuts the video without saying anything more.]
