wanting to help

Hey guys...well I'm watching Scarborough country and he is currently in New Orleans. Watching it is just heartbreaking. I'm sure we have all seen video clips and heard about the hurricane on the news but watching the footage is beyond moving. Hey April. I too feel your pain, and it totally sucks... About us helping other countries, but we can't respond to our own situations, well, it's all politics unfortunately, and you can blame some stupid Texan who's in the executive branch right now for that, but besides the point... As I'm sure you know, I am commander of the Arnold Air Society Squadron, and we too are trying to help with the relief effort. I have been doing some research, and unfortunately, the American Red Cross, and Salvation Army are only looking for monetary donations right now. Unforunately they don't know where to store items, and don't have time to organize right now. I don't know if you heard, but about 700 refugees just came into El Paso, and are staying at the Civic Center. I'll keep my eyes and ears open to see how we can help with that, and I'll keep you posted as well. It is a pretty sad thing, and I'm glad you're concerned and willing to help. Anyways, take care!

To All, El Paso Saves is in Effect,
As you know Hurricane Katrina has hit Louisiana, Mississippi,Alabama and other areas very hard. There are thousands who have lost everything. It is time that El Paso do its part to help these victims as much as possible. I was notified by a nurse that is working with the victims coming to El Paso that there should be about 800-1000 people being transported to the El Paso area. I have already began working on a plan to coordinate everything from volunteers to clergy to wok on making these people feel at home in the El Paso area.
