Well, I feel overwhelmed...if I didn't feel it before, I DO NOW!!! For TWO weeks now, I've been doing my "real" job, my ebay "job", and I've been gearing up for the college season making hemp necklaces!!! It's all too much, and I now long for a simpler life. I can't do that though...I have a stifling car payment...and other worldly duties. Jesus,

No, it was a nudge. Just a nudge. And you know you needed it. You were starting to fall off the face of the LJ earth again. And I as your friend simply was not going to allow it. ;~D

One thing that surprised me about your post was the inclusion of making your hemp necklaces in the list of things stressing you right now. I thought that was something that relaxed you. Is it that you are trying to make too many right now, feeling dissatisfied at the end of the day when maybe you haven't produced as many as you had hoped? If that is the case, I really hope that you will take a deep breath and allow that activity to go back to being a relaxing one. You are very talented, Mel. But even that which we are talented at and enjoy can become a chore when pushed to its limits.

Ok, I realize this is a very personal question, so feel free to either blow it off or email the response to me, but... why the sudden push for all this work? Is it money related? I thought things were going well for you, but with how much stress you are putting on yourself with these three money making activities, I'm starting to wonder. What's going on, Mel? Talk to me.

Ahhhhhh yes, I DO like making my necklaces...BUT...when I have too large of a quota...AND...a deadline, it just becomes stressful!!! I've made around 120 necklaces in the past TWO WEEKS...my fingers are starting to wear down...soon, they'll bleed!!! It's happened before...

why the sudden push for all this work?

I can't say no...that's it really. I can't say no to fantasy baseball, to fantasy football, to work, to ebay, to Hippie Gypsy, to Chiba Hut...to anyone. I just want to please EVERYONE!!! :)

Ah, I understand now. You have an agreement with jewelry sellers as their supplier. That makes sense. BUT, you need someone who can say no for you until you can learn how say no yourself. Melissa, maybe? 120 necklaces in 2 weeks is way too much, hun. Is it realistic to stick with supplying to only 1 shop instead of 2?

Nah...I just hafta get my business going so I can leave my job...or cut down A LOT!!! I really CAN'T say no...except for fantasy sports.

Yeah, Chiba Hut is temporary/provisional anyway. I don't think I'll sell to them again. Hippie Gypsy is where I'm going to make my money. It's on the campus of Arizona State, and in hippie downtown Tempe. :) I'm looking for places near Arizona State-Phoenix(downtown Phoenix)as well. Possibly Old Towne Scottsdale too. It's too upscale tho, I think. I'd like to find a place in Anthem too.
