Mon. Nov. 10th; lunchtime

This weekend was fantastic! In more ways than one.First we win the Quidditch game, and then I win both the foil and the rapier finale yesterday. It wasn't entirely my skill that gave me that second trophy though. If Adrian had been... I don't know how to put this... there, for lack of a better word, I could well have lost ( Read more... )

Wasn't there to see the whole thing, but I did see your first couple of matches and you deserved the trophies. Was amazing, if I ever tried such a thing I'd likely fall on my arse. (I'm terrible at sports)

Good luck in Egypt though, I hope you get chance to see the sights.

Thanks Theo. I'm glad you enjoyed what you saw of it. I know it's rather long and boring if you don't know what's going on, or is interested in the sport. Perhaps it's a good thing not doing sports in your case then, be careful with that arse, it might be useful for sitting on.

Thanks for the well-wishes. I'll do my best to help your House mates beat the other school teams.

I don't think it's boring, just if you're not really into it, waiting to cheer your Housemates on can take forever. (I didn't want to get a numb bum, sitting around for it all either)

I'm sure you will, bet you win. *Grin*

Haha, yes that's true. I suppose it would be different if there were more students realising that sword fighting is the cool thing, there would be more Slytherins too to cheer on. Ah well, the noble sport is still alive... *wink*

What are you betting? Not that I doubt Hogwarts' fencing team's ability to kick their arses. Just out of curiousity.

Oh I'm sure many do, cause you know 'swords are cool' though they're not swords really, I guess... Not to knowledgable in the different types of er, pointy things. (Wow I bet that sounds insulting)

Oh, I didn't mean I was going to bet on it, I just meant 'I bet you win' like 'I'm sure you'll kick their arses'. Type thing. I must look like an idiot now.

Oh but they are swords. If one removes the little blunt thing on the tip of the foil and the rapier, you can easily run someone through with them. All the moves, the attacks and the parries work exactly the same when one uses a real rapier or sabre. Apart fromthe fact that there would be more blood then, lots of it probably.

Oh, I see. Misunderstood you then. *smile* No you don't.

Ahh, it's just some of them look different. Not that I know much about swords or even got a close look at anything. See, this is why I prefer bugs, much easier to deal with and examine. *Grins*

That's okay, it's an easy thing to do. I am such a dork.

yes, well... they're not exactly Claymores. They're more the French, elegant type of swords. Bugs on the other hand, I don't know so much about. There, you're the expert.

Still attractive though, even if you are a dork.

We can be experts on different things, least my hobby will stop me picking up the wrong type of bug and keeling over in a fit from icky venom.

...Not that I go out of my way to collect that many poisonous bugs. They do have pretty colours though.
