I think dreamland is a very trippy place, where your mind just lets loose and goes on a fantastical journey! You're very lucky in that you remember the places you've been to! :D
I don't think you're cursed or unlucky! I think we make our own luck & if you believe it'll be good, it will be! We all have dark thoughts and sometimes bad things happen to us that we have no control over, the trick is, what you do with them. Like they say, take those lemons & make lemonade. At first you may not see the sugar, but if you open your eyes, it's over there, just waiting for you to see it. Like your other post, where you were musing on your life's path. Instead of thinking "if only this hadn't happened," think about all the med students you helped shaped into our future & present doctors and nurses. You may bot know it, but maybe there's a noble prize winner in the bunch, or someone who eventually cures cancer, or someone who takes a step back & follows your path and teaches the next generation of doctors & nurses. Or if you want to get nerdy & geeky, maybe you've taught a real life Dr. Strange. ,D
Those flowers are GORGEOUS! :D To me, indigo is the color of the sky as night begins to fall and the sunlight clouds' color begin to fad and muddy. It's also the color of the design and ends of Sesshomaru's obi. :D
I do have to wonder why everything I do ends up broken. I am doing good here. I know this. But pretty soon I'm probably going to be stocking shelves at Kroger which there is nothing wrong with that. It beats working for Subway which is what I did after getting hurt and trust me going from surgeon to sandwich artist is a long hard fall.
I don't think everything you do ends up broken. You have strong friendships with people, you're a published author (which is something that a lot of people dream of doing), you've visited some wonderful places. :D No, there isn't. That must have been hard, but you've found a way to still make a difference in people's lives. Working in food service is HARD! XD I still feel like there is still something you can do, besides stocking shelves. People do change careers at stages in life. Plus I would think an employer would want someone who's some years away from college as maturity's a good thing, rather than someone who's fresh out of college & wants to be CEO in 6 months, without putting in the hard work. Plus things have a way of falling into place, without you even realizing it. If it didn't, I'd still be going nuts, trying to work with a difficult person, all the while feeding a bunch of brats with little to no concept of manners. Why? Cuz I used to talk to this one woman, who heard they need people & told me where to go & who to speak to. If Covid wasn't a thing, I'd be looking after lil ones in the mornings & helping the same lil ones with their homework in the afternoons. :D
Thanks. well right now there aren't much jobs in biology. I know I've looked. It might be retail for me until things pick up and trust me no one wants someone my age. They never do. Ageism is a real issue I'm afraid
You're welcoem. :D DANG! I might have to do retail too if the schools don't open. I've done food service and I don't want to do that again. XD That stinks! I thought we were supposed to have left discrimination of all kinds behind us. XD
