It took me most of the day to grade the muscle practicum. MANY of them did poorly. I'm not surprised there. I was however surprised by just how many of them, keeping in mind these are nursing and people who want to do cardiac ultrasound, would COULD NOT tell the heart from the lungs while still inside the chest. Me being the worse professor ever (which I am not) wouldn't explain this level of wtfery. apparently K-12 teaches nothing would be a logical supposition

Just imagine what bizarre creatures they would build if you had scale model sized Dr. Frankenstein type kits.
Their test would have boxes with all the bones in the skeleton, muscles, organs & glue guns. And they would be told to pick out enough parts to make one body then glue all the pieces together to build it, with a paper where they would write down the names. (Their would be boxes with enough parts to make three more figures than there were students in the class.)

they couldn't do it, some of them (don't get me wrong, some of them got 100% but my god these others!!) They'd never even be able to put all the bones in the right order

Because you're a good teacher who's making sure these ignorants don't automatically move forward where they can do real damage.....

It may well be the didn't get well taught in K ~ 12 or it may be they're lazy and didn't apply them selves well .

Fully possible they're simply stupid too but at least you're doing your job and are concerned .
