Signups for Issue 9 are open!

Welcome to the sign-up post for Issue 9 of cornerflag! Since this is an Olympic summer, this will be a special international issue and the theme is:

citius altius fortius

You may interpret the theme any way you wish (feel free to be creative!), or you can ignore it altogether, but you do have to sign up for an international rather than club twosome, and you do have to set your story during a time when both players were active members of the same team. Stories that are written for the theme will be marked out for the readers' attention.

The usual rules and guidelines apply. Note: while we do our best to keep track of popular pairings in fandom, we can't always keep up with what's hot in teams the editors have little interest in, so we accept sign-ups on trust that the twosome you choose is an uncommon one. If we do know that the pairing you want is not rare (a good rule of thumb: if it has its own comm, it definitely doesn't qualify for cornerflag), we reserve the right to ask you to choose a different one.

To sign up, please leave a comment with the following information:

• the country and characters you intend write for,
• whether it's gen or slash (both m/m and f/f) or het,
• and a pseudonym if desired. Please indicate as such if that's the case -- your comment will be duly screened.

Reminder: Each team is limited to only two stories (with certain exceptions -- see #8 on the list of rules and guidelines) and each writer may only sign up for one country. This post will be updated with a list of writers sorted by team, so you can see if all the slots for a particular country are taken up.

Issue 9 will be published on 25 July 2012, when the football tournament at the Olympics begins.
