Physics, Phun, and Phloods
Well not updating for so long was a bad idea. Lots has been happening in Toledo. As far as my actual physics research goes I think it's actually about to start today. Im meeting with my teacher to head down to the lab later this afternoon. Finally his proposal was turned in yesterday so he's free to work with me now! :).
Aside from reading lots of physics stuff during the day I have been having tons of fun otherwise. Everyone here is awesome. We have been shopping and going out to eat and spending way too much money in general. Watchin lots of movies together as well. Saw X3 in theaters, great movie. Saw Brokeback Mountain... not so great ending. Saw The Producers... I am not a fan of musicals OR comedies :P. and more. Been doing lots of drinking on the weekends hahah. I discovered I love St. Pauli Girl but apparently everyone else hates the smell :P. Thankfully they tolerate Labatt Blue! A good few nights have been spent being up till 7AM/8AM/5AM due to drunken fun. Some nights pushing people down the hall in garbage cans (me being one of them. It left some bruises). IHOP at 6AM was a good night. Cars being locked with keys in it was the 8AM one.
As for recent adventures. Yesterday there was a flood. After some of us physucs REUers left from Uncle John's Pancake house we tried going to Target despite the multiple tornado warnings. Oops. Target's doors were locked so we tried to go somewhere else. Unfortunately for us all the parking lots were flooded and the Dan's car stalled. Eventually Dan and myself got out and pushed the car down a couple blocks of water passed our ankles into the non-flooded parking lot of a Mexican Restaurant where we hung out till a friend with an SUV came to save the day. Great times. :P
