Day 2, looking towards the future
So what's on the horizon? Below is a list of events to choose from. I am going to do my best to make it to as many of these as possible (and also work and hash on the side LOL) and anyone is welcome to join me.
July 24th - Mars vs Venus rave
A rousing lineup of electro, hardcore, hardstyle, and trance. 10PM-5AM at the Collaboratory in Atlanta. 18+, $10 I think.
July 31st - Underground Syndicate rave
An all-white party with UV rooms, good lineup. 9PM-? at Spring/4th in Atlanta, 18+, $15.
Aug 7th - Jungle II: Prehistoric rave
Dinosaur/caveman themed rave at the Collaboratory. Don't know many details at this point.
Aug 18th - My 2nd SOT hare
I'm haring my second trail for Slackers On Trail if my knees will hold up to it. Even if I can't do the trail myself I'll design it and get another hound to run it for me.
Aug 27-29 - Phil birthday cabin shindig
Phil's looking at getting a cabin for his birthday in Helen, GA. Don't know who all is going yet. Are we going to combine Jess's birthday into this or have a separate thing for him the prior weekend? I'm willing to host a party if he wants one. Guess we should talk.... :S
Sept 3-6 - Dragon*Con 2010
Group right now is Gypsy, Blackie, myself, Jess, Steve, Luke, and I think Jonny and Jesmin as well. We have 2 hotel rooms and plenty of room so if anyone else wants to go let me know.
Sept 9 or 10 - Hopefully my tonsillectomy
My tonsils have bothered me for most of my life. I'm finally rectifying the situation. Right now I have recurring tonsillitis, snoring, sleep apnea, difficulty swallowing, tonsil stones, and chronic sore throat. Without tonsils I shouldn't get sick so easily (no constant drainage and problems breathing/swallowing), sleep better, and probably be all around healthier. However, the surgery has risks and the recovery is expected to be long and painful. I'll be out of commission for 10-20 days after it, so it looks like AWA is out of my grasp this year.
Sept 25th - RJD2 @ the Masquerade (if I'm back in the saddle by then)
