I wanted to rewatch the episode before I typed all this up. Warning: I ramble a lot.

The Ryan/Esposito blow up was the most shocking thing about the episode for me... never thought I'd see that.

This whole episode I was just like, "Oh, shit... oh, shit... shit."

I can't believe I didn't catch Montgomery on my first watch-through. I thought he looked shifty just 'cause he was putting a secret detail on her, but the fact that they cut to him directly - TWICE - should have tipped me off. It usually would. McFail, Marjory. McFail.

I can't even talk about that scene at the hangar. It broke me like Humpty "I HAVE TOO MANY FEEEEELINGS" Dumpty.

P.S. RYAN AND ESPOSITO. RYAN AND ESPOSITO. MY GOD, THOSE BOYS. That's when I started crying. Also, maybe that's when the slasher in me started screaming, "KISS EACH OTHER ALREADY, GODDAMMIT." But only on the first rewatch. Yes I have watched it three times now. Between rewatches of "The Doctor's Wife." FEEEEEELINGS.

YOU KNOW WHAT I WANT NEXT SEASON? AN EP WITH RYAN AND ESPOSITO AS THE FOCUS. Like, Castle and Beckett get kicked off a case (like normal) but they legit can't do anything about it. Or they're out of town. Or something. RYAN AND ESPOSITO NEED TO BE RECOGNIZED FOR THE BAMFS THEY ARE.

I want to rewatch it again. I haven't rewatched The Doctor's Wife yet, though. Dammit, Fringe, you're very distracting.

I'm so excited for next season. I can't wait to see who the new Capt. (Lt.?) is going to be. Like phrasmotic, I didn't see the Montgomery twist. He was just such a good guy, I didn't even think about it.

The only thing I didn't like was making it look like Kate died. We know she didn't, so why pretend.
