Horrible Histories, The X Factor and Breakfast on Pluto (nothing odd about that combo)

A man does not truly have my love until he has dressed as a woman.
..A worrying statement I am slowly learning to be in fact.. factual.
Well it depends on whether they are actually hilarious/beaut/adorable enough to pull it off...

Actually scratch that Matt Smith in drag freaked me the flip out.
And as for ol' Garf.... no he definitely keeps within the rules.  Giant surge in love after watching this film:

Now I think of it, Matt shouldn't count as I only saw a few photos from a play he did where he was in love with his mother or something?  And I think he was only wearing like, a negligee, not full-on womanised.
He has a beautiful face so I'm sure I would approve if he went to more trouble.
Oh to have the Doctor dress as a woman!  Is it really creepy for me to wish things like this...?

Anyhooville!  Where are we now?
Oh yes!
So Mathew Baynton.
I only actually found out his name yesterday because someone had posted a picture on Tumblr and I was on the Horrible Histories tag LIKE A FLASH
SO MUCH QUALITY

Like fate, 'Literally' from Horrible Histories just came on my iTunes!
Not that I have it even.. or listen to it.... not like the play count is at 40..

I've been meaning to do a Horrible Histories post for ages and then in the past couple of days a combination of watching lots of episodes, finding loads of gifs and caz963 doing a post on it forced my hand!
TOO LONG! *causes Elizabeth Swann to fall off plank*

I pretty much wrote an entire post's worth of lovin's on caz963's comments section so I thought I may as well edit it around a bit and posty so as many as people as possible can enjoy this epic show!

I'm a lazy motheflipper so I'm literally just going to paste it here and take out a couple of things that don't make sense:

I'm so happy there's such a brilliant show that parents can watch with their kids that they can BOTH enjoy and learn from.  It's never patronising, they don't ever talk down to you - that's part of why it's so easy to watch as an adult I think.  There are also random references and parodies (eg. Punk'd - a show that was probably off air before most kids were even born!) so there're always things to keep everyone entertained :)

Another kids show I love that adults can enjoy is iCarly, which is obviously no comparison for educational BBC epicness but it similarly has great comedy as well as good morals, a good example to children in a non-patronising way too.

But back to Horrible Histories!

My sister and I used to collect all the magazines and our school had the books.  I think they definitely contributed a lot to my love of history as their funny, interesting, kid-friendly take on things really sticks in your mind because it's made relatable and humourous.
Then the show has this epic Monty Python sort of surreal element to it that makes it even more brilliant and entertaining!

I'm so incredibly excited for Stephen Fry to replace that rat for night time audiences!
T'will be the classiest show around ♥

Think it's on 16th June so look out for it!

*segue?*

Aww I'm listening to Dermot O'Leary on Radio 2 and I haven't properly in quite a while but it's a coincidence because I was sorting out my X Factor gifs last night and I didn't make the connection until I saw I still had the gifs page up just now!
I phrased that very badly but.. DERMOT IS ADORABLE FORGET WHAT YOU HAVE SEEN

I was quite excited because I found lots of gifs I hadn't looked at since before Christmas and they renewed my love for everyone involved!

SHAME THEY'VE ALL LEFT NOW

Poor bb Cheryl ♥

Gary Barlow is lovely and OLLY MURS IS DOING THE XTRA FACTOR so I'll still be watching... but it's still very sad :'(

Anyway.  I know I'm skipping to another thing that has no relevance BUT I did post a gif above of Cillian Murphy in Breakfast on Pluto and I keep meaning to do a post on it so now seems a good point to write something! /excuse to spam more gifs.....

I watched it a few months ago and much like when I watched Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind (another instant favourite - would do a post if it weren't so popular already - suffice it to say, YOU MUST WATCH IT.  Please.  It's really good.), I put it back to the beginning straight after to watch again!  And I've watched it probably 4 times since not counting with commentary.

Yeah I have an addictive personality or something.  No big deal.

But anyway, it's amazing if you haven't read between the lines there.  It's so funny, sad, beautiful.. the music is amazing, the costumes are amazing, the story is amazing, Kitten is amazing.. everything is amazing!
I love it.

Um.. I didn't know how to finish this.. I was going to say "odd post" but although this is a bit of a shambles, is it really much different to my usual posts, if there is such a thing?
Well anyway, I just wrote the thingy you click on to get under the cut (so technical) and I wanted to put it into the actual post as it's a good point about the film:

My approval for child-friendly viewing and not so child-friendly Cillian movies - one in particular - but childs should still watch when they're a teensy bit older as it'll teach 'em about life and the consequences of intolerance even though it's a joyous film.

Also Cillian Murphy is beautiful so watch it solely for that and the brilliant comedy if you don't feel like being learned.

OK I'm going now but need to quickly say I've made a VERY slight dent in getting through my friends list, trying to catch up with everyone... but I've only written to about four people so that's a bit of a fail.
I do want to get to everyone though so await my words!  I know it's what you live for.
