Brienne/Catelyn: hello thing I never knew I wanted!
I really loved their scene. I know there was a similar one in the book but somehow I don't remember it being quite so "Your husband is dead, as is the object of my unrequited devotion. Why don't we get hitched and tear up Westeros together?"
Also, ARYA. That kid is freaking AMAZING. Her scene with Tywin: "Anyone can be killed." Chills all over the place.
And I loved how this week was really heavy on the women - Danaerys, Cersei, Margaery, as well as Catelyn, Brienne and Arya - but surprisingly light on gratuitous boobs. See, it is possible!
M's reaction (he has not read the books, and is unspoiled) to Renly's death was really interesting. He was so shocked! And sad. As am I. But I am looking forward to Loras becoming a more grown-up character. He's not a knight of summer anymore ;_; He is one of the few truly good characters left in current book-canon, IMO.
And oh yeah: FUCK YOU, THEON. AND THE BOAT YOU RODE IN ON.
