Yay! They finally did it!
Gay marriage is now legal in New York State!
The bill passed thanks to some last-minute changes of heart, including a Republican State Senator who said, when challenged: "fuck it, I don't care what you think. I'm trying to do the right thing". And he did.
Congratulations to all those who now have the legal rights the rest of us do, to love, or not; to marry, or not - as their hearts desire, without interference. It's about time!
