A romance Fic. (OR IS IT?)
This is a different romance fic. Most romance stories start with two individuals who don’t know of each others existence, until destiny sets them up and make them realize they’re made for one another. However, why do I get the feeling that my intro for this sounds like an essay intro??? XD Anyway, back to the story, we already actually have a couple; and they were walking hand in hand in a certain hallway inside a certain university when someone interrupted their simple yet sweet moment.
“Hey Yuri! Hey Sica! Attend the ADHOC this coming Saturdaaaaay!”
A girl, about 170 cm tall, handed the couple a leaflet as she greeted them with such excitement in her tone.
“What ADHOC?”
Yuri left sica’s hand as she reached for the piece of paper handed to them.
“What’s it seobang?”
Sica tiptoed a bit to get a good view of what the leaflet says.
“It’s some kind of a party, yeobuu.”
“EEEEEENNNNNGGGG! It’s not just ‘a simple party’ YUL!! It’s ADHOC! It’s the coolest and the biggest party hosted by our own university that happens only once every 5 years!!
Sooyoung butted in, outraged.
“Uhh, sorry but I already have lots of thing scheduled for this coming---“
“Yeap sooyoung! We’ll try to come! Thanks for telling us!”
Jessica was able cut in Yuri’s sentence, showing the obvious fact that she is interested about the event.
“Uh, Yeah? Maybe?”
Uncertain, Yuri folded the piece of paper in half and put it in her pocket as Sica pulled her away from Sooyoung in a thrilled manner.
“But baby you know im quite busy this coming weekend!”
Yuri looked at the smaller girl with a problematic face as they returned back to their hand in hand walking once again.
“Awwww, Seobangiie, Please? It’s not like we go to parties like this everyday.. Or even everyweek?!” “And from the way Sooyoung described it, it sounded so much fuun!”
Defeated by her girlfriend’s show of persuasive aegyo, Yuri was able to do nothing but just sigh at the thought of her busier weekend approaching.
“Yeah, sure, as if I have any other choice.”
“What did you say?”
Jessica asked the other girl as she heard her murmur something in a low voice.
“Nothing Babe, Let’s go?”
And as if to show her aegyo as well, Yuri lightly pushed the smaller girl’s forehead with a finger as she opened the car’s door for her.

The week went by so fast, and Saturday came. Everyone in the university was already too hyped up the day before the party, well except for one that is. Yuri was still hesitant about going to that party. Besides the term papers due by Monday, a long exam on Trig by Tuesday, and a speech to entertain to be delivered by Wednesday, there’s something else telling her that she must not go there. But she just tends to forget about it every time she sees her girlfriend getting manic over the same thing. Friday afternoon they left the school early to go to Apgujeong to shop for clothes. Jessica wanted to look glam on the night of the party while Yuri just chose a simple black polo to go with sica’s sexy black mini dress.
The night of the party. The place was crowded, and Yuri can see familiar faces from the crowd of people gathered by the door of the club where the party will take place. It was weird, since their university is quite small you cannot forget a person even just by their face.
“Yul! Sic!”
The (sexy) couple turned around upon hearing the familiar voice that called out their name.
“Yoona! Seohyun! Wait, are you two allowed already to enter clubs?”
Jessica asked as she remembered the couple was still quite young for these kinds of places.
“Aigoo unni, this is a university event! Everybody’s welcome! Woooooooo!”
Obviously, yoona’s in the party mood also while seohyun just stayed quiet beside her.
The 2 couples went inside the noisy and cramped full club together as the “wives” led the way followed by the obedient “seobangs”.
The wives immediately danced to the loud music looking like party animals as the seobangs refused to and instead stayed by the bar.
“So seohyun, what’s up?”
Yuri tried to start an awkward conversation, peeking to whatever it is that Seohyun was reading.
“You mean in what part of the book im in already or you mean what’s up with my life?”
Seohyun’s odd reply made Yuri think that there’re some loose screws inside her head. Still, since Yuri doesn’t like partying and doesn’t have a choice, she just continued the conversation she has started.
“Uhhh. I mean, with you and Yoong”
“Aahhh, That”
Seohyun smiled as her eyes went back to the book she was reading.
“We’re fine. How about you and Jessica-ssi?”
“We’re fine as well. Going strong!”
Yuri was trying to put humor in whatever she was saying just to make the atmosphere less awkward. But it seems that Seohyun is more interested in the book than in talking to Yuri. Yuri found it really weird and decided to approach her girlfriend on the dancefloor.
“Hey, Jessica do you want a drink?”
“WHAT I CAN’T HEAR YOU!”
“I SAID, DO YOU WANT A DRINK!”
Supplemented with enough hand movements, Jessica was able to understand what Yuri was saying and nodded. Yuri then pushed her way out of the sweaty dancing people to approach the bar again where the drinks were served.
“I didn’t know that this party is co sponsored by another university”
Yuri, crept out with the sudden remark of Seohyun, wasn’t able to make out the message the girl’s words because of too much unease she felt around the girl.
“Uhhh yeah?”
“Do you know from which university they are?”
Seohyun pointed at some girls who seem to be eyeing them from afar.
Yuri wasn’t able to get what Seohyun was at until she realized that the faces of the girls seem too familiar.
“Wait, don’t tell me they’re from Hannam?!”
“I guess so, and it seems like you’re their type.”
Yuri’s eyes widened in disbelief as everything that Seohyun told her just now sinked in.

As a supposed to be light bulb lighted above Yuri’s head, she oddly moved closer to Seohyun and started hiding her face behind the girl’s hair.
“Uhhh, what do you think you’re doing?”
“Those people.. I know them.. I came from their school two semesters ago!”
Yuri said whispering as if the people of Hannam University might hear her.
“What did you say?!”
“Ehem ehem. I said, those people, and some other here inside the bar, I know them!”
“That’s good! Ex-schoolmates meet again”
“No!! It’s bad!”
Yuri shouted in a whisper while still hiding her face behind Seohyun’s hair.
“And why is it bad?”
“No time for explanations! I think it’s better if Sica and I go home already!!.”
With knees slightly bended, Yuri made her way cautiously to her girlfriend who is now at the middle of the dance floor. Every now and then, as she recognizes a familiar face, she would stop and put her hand over her own, or turn her back against them pretending to be dancing along. As she was unable to reach Jessica, she defeatedly returned to hide behind Seohyun, now behind the girl’s skirt.
“And what do you think you’re doing?”
Seohyun, bewildered, raised a brow as she glanced at the person below her, looking like a maniac from the way she’s been acting.
“Okay look. I had a bad experience in that university, and that’s why I transferred. So, I can’t meet them people of that university again!”
“That bad?”
“Yes, that bad. Especially if that girl is in---”
“Yuri? Is that you?” “Omygooooooddddd”

Yuri turned to her left with an awkward face as she heard the all too familiar in-a-definitely-not-a-good way voice of a girl.
“Oh hey! Sunny! Why are you here?!”
She pretended not to be scared of the fact that she was found by someone who is one of those persons who shouldn’t see her.
“HEY EVERYBODY YURI’S HERE!”
With her loud, distinct voice, Sunny was able to catch the attention of most people near them. Some just ignored the announcement but some immediately approached them.
Omygod.
After a little while, Yuri’s already surrounded by a number of people as she tugged onto Seohyun’s shirt not letting the other girl go and leave her all alone.
“Hey Yuri what happened to you. You were suddenly gone.”
“Hey Yuri why did you transfer?”
“Yah Yuri-ah how dare you transfer without telling us”
And some other random stuff the crowd of people surrounding her threw at her. It was manageable, until Yuri heard the question she least wanted to hear.
“Hey yuri have you seen Fany yet?”
As the name was mentioned, Yuri’s face was incalculable. Everybody waited for the answer and all of them got quiet as the name was brought up.
“Uhhh.. I think, I should actually leave now, It’s quite errrrr, late already.”
Yuri faked looking at her wrist though she doesn’t actually have a watch to tell her the time. She grabbed seohyun by the wrist and squeezed their way in to the center of the dance floor where Sica is. But no matter what she does or where she goes, she was followed by that certain crowd.
“Jessica! Jessicaaaaa!”
She tried her best to get her girlfriend’s attention while Yoongsica was still dancing to the loud music. She let go of Seohyun’s wrist as she reached her girlfriend and tapped her from the back.
“Babe, I think we should go now”
“Huh? But we’re still having fun!”
Sica showed her boyfriend some fun and sexy dance moves as seohyun moved closer to Yoona while massaging her aching wrist.
“Let’s just go okay?!”
Yuri pulled Jessica by the wrist but as they were just about to leave, the music stopped and someone from the stage spoke up.
“Are you guys having fun??!”
“YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH”
The crowd was wilder, and there’s no way the two could squeeze their way out of the dancefloor, or even out of the club.
“So, you know that this party is all thanks to the joint efforts of Korea Tech University and Hannam University so let’s give a big round of applause to those two!!
“WWWWOOOOOOOOOOOO”
More cheers were heard but some people around Jessica and even those not around her started whispering. Yuri was all sweaty as she looked at her girlfriend just to realize its face turning stone cold. Like a lion protecting its cub, her girlfriend’s face is now scary, as if on a lookout for someone who might steal her babies.
“Yeobo, are you alright?”
“So it is with Hannam huh”

“No one else. That fastidious girl over there, Hwang Tiffany”
Jessica answered while rolling her eyes. From the loving girlfriend yuri has seen a couple of minutes ago, Sica has now turned into the ice princess she was scared of. Perfect posture, arms folded, deep staring eyes, Yuri knows something wrong is going on since it has been awhile since she saw her girlfriend like this. She thought she had already changed her.
“H-How are they enemies??”
Yuri asked Yoona and Seohyun since she cant ask the iceprincess herself.
“long story dude, told you it was since kindergarten”

Yuri was begging Jessica to stop as the crowd gathered around them. Everybody knows about the Tiffany-Jessica battle and to them, the time has come once again for the two to have a face off.
Yuri was able to make Jessica calmer as Tiffany faced the blonde girl.
“You don’t know whose boyfriend’s you’re calling yours, bitch.”

The crowd was so into the drama they started expressing themselves in unison.
“Yuri’s mine you bitch. And you don’t have the right to call me bitch, since you are one, bitch.”

Some people in favor of Sica started clapping their hands and shouting her name to show their support. Tiffany, unable to answer Sica’s statement started to attack the other girl. Tiffany suddenly emerged behind Yuri slithering her arms on her shoulder.
“Yah! What do you think you’re doing to my boyfriend!”
Jessica furiously approached Fany as it hid behind Yuri, hugging the other in the process.
“YAAAAAAAAAHH! Stay away from her!!!!!!!!”
Jessica tried to reach Tiffany but ended up scratching Yuri while doing it.
“Hey, Hey stop it!”
Yuri was begging Jessica to stop as the crowd gathered around them. Everybody knows about the Tiffany-Jessica battle and to them, the time has come once again for the two to have a face off.
Yuri was able to make Jessica calmer as Tiffany faced the blonde girl.
“You don’t know whose boyfriend’s you’re calling yours, bitch.”
“Ooooooooooh”
The crowd was so into the drama they started expressing themselves in unison.
“Yuri’s mine you bitch. And you don’t have the right to call me bitch, since you are one, bitch.”
“Wooooo!!!”
Some people in favor of Sica started clapping their hands and shouting her name to show their support. Tiffany, unable to answer Sica’s statement started to attack the other girl. Yuri was there to stop the two’s brewing wrestling match and the YoonHyun couple was a big help too, in calming what seems to be two enraged bulls.
“I said stop you two!!!”
Yuri roared in a clear distinct voice.
“What the heck is happening in here!”
“Yuri, tell her im your girlfriend!”
Jessica grabbed Yuri’s arm and stuck a tongue out to tiffany.
“Hahahaha. You’re so funny Jessica. I thought you’ve changed. But it seems that you can never get over of stealing the things which are mine already.”
Tiffany clapped her hands as she looked pitifully at Jessica. Jessica looked at Yuri and waited for an answer with an anxious expression. When Yuri wasn’t answering, the crown started to butt in.
“Yah, Kwon Yuri answer them right now!”
“Choose only one Yul! Don’t be like this!”
“Yuri just give Jessica to me!!”
“OKAY OKAY FINE ILL ANSWER!”
The whole crowd went silent. Tiffany was smiling as sica still got the anxious expression on her face.
“JESSICA IS MY GIRLFRIEND!”
“WWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOO!!”
The Sica crowd started to cheer again some have even removed their shirts and started whirling them in the air.
“BUT----“
The crowd was stopped, and silence returned.
“TIFFANY’S MY FIANCE”
Yuri looked down to avoid any unwanted stare or gaze from anyone, especially from her girlfriend Jessica.
“WHAT?!”
Jessica said in great surprise then planted a solid slap on Yuri’s cheek. She then started walking away from them, out of the club as the YoonHyun couple followed her. Yuri tried to follow her but was stopped with the celebrating Tiffany- crowd.

Monday came and Yuri was walking at the hallway again- now alone, looking for Jessica. Everywhere she goes, people would start whispering at one another and she knows exactly why. She came across Sooyoung as the girl offered her a leaflet.
“Ill kill you for what happened last Saturday Sooyoung.”
“Hey it’s not my fault that I have a girlfriend and a fiancée at the same time!”
“Shut up you! It’s your fault you didn’t tell us it was co sponsored by that university!”
“I thought you won’t come. You looked like you weren’t interested anyway.”
“Aish!”
Yuri mimicked a fist as she remembered the reason why she approached the girl.
“Hey have you seen Jessica? Ive been looking for her all day”
“Eung.. Yeah, her Anthro 10 class will end in about a minute I think, she’ll come down from that stairs and into this hallway in a little while.”
Yuri furrowed her eyebrows, perplexed.
“How come you know these kinds of things?”
“Im her fiancée, you didn’t know?”
