Episodes like "Freak" are the reason I still watch Smallville. So yeah, a Chloe-centric episode (and that's appeal in its own right although I enjoyed the ensemble feel of the episode) but actual plot and the characters resembling their iconic selves, and seriously why can't every episode be like this? So "Treason" wasn't one of the most compelling episodes of Smallville, but the more I re-watch, the more I enjoy. I like how "Treason" was presented with the darkness and creepiness and snow, contrasting with the normal cheery brightness of a Smallville episode.
