"This is nothing we were ever trained for..."
Well yesterday I mentioned that I didn't get the job that I applied for. Today I got offered a promotion to another store because of who got the job that I applied for. How about that? I didn't even expect to be offered the job that has become available as even though I sort of do the same job where I am now it's not really something I've ever had proper training in. I couldn't even build a bike last year and now I'm being offered the position of bikehut sales manager.
For those of you that don't actually know where I work right now I work for a car parts and bicycle store. For those of you that live in the UK I work for Halfords but that might not mean anything to the rest of you so that's why I said a car and bike store. :D
I'd be getting a significant pay rise which is good because like the other job I would have to commute on a daily basis and it is both too far and too dangerous for me to do this on my bike so I would have to use either the family car or public transport until I can get my own car. I need to speak to dad about using the family car before I decide to accept or not. I just need to catch him in the right mood or he'll flip out and start moaning like he is prone to do. I have to let the manager of the other store know my decision by the end of the week and seeing as Clez and I are going to stay with behindtonsils for the weekend I really need to let him know before we leave on Friday.
Whatever happens I will make sure to let you all know. Now I'm off to bed as I'm over two hours late to bed but I wanted to watch the show jumping we'd recorded earlier. Night all.
