So, last night I threw dinner into the microwave. After a few seconds it shut down. I assumed we had just blown a fuse so I went down to the fuse box to see if I could get things working again. The new smoke detector works much better (in that it does not go off when I'm in the shower). Hooray for modern technology.

This weekend we did some general around the house stuff and tonight it would have been time to mow again, but I got stuck late at work tracking down an eight year old bug.

Today monstersocks' father stopped by to help us with a cabinet door that didn't really want to stay attached to the cabinet in the kitchen. It seems to be much happier now.

The new gym near my office opened earlier this month so I ran out of excuses for not signing up with a gym (my old one moved to Little Canada and the new location is really out of the way unless I want to visit eriker afterwards). Pretty good weekend.

monstersocks and I went out to Southdale on Sunday to see The Nightmare Before Christmas- In 3D with some old friends. We also showed off the house. Things at home are definitely coming together, but we need to work faster as it appears we've drawn the "host Thanksgiving" straw this year.
