Catching up
My sister came to visit. We didn't get on as children. Really didn't get on. Hospitalising each other. Refusing to travel to school in the same car. That kinda thing. Thankfully growing up and not having to live with each other had helped greatly in our relationship and no-one's been to hospital for many many years.
She came down friday night, boyfriend in tow. I hadn't met the boyfriend before. I was all prepared to disapprove of him as I wanted to set her up with a friend but he turns out to be lovely, quiet, funny when he does talk and verrrry easy on the eye. Actually, phoooar.
Right, now I've got that out of my system...
Got a fantastic deal on a half day spa package at Estivals so we had a fabulous pamper, lunch and toddled home again. Chris had located a gym and been for a workout (good, good, gotta keep that bod in shape) and the rest of the day was spent vegging and watching films. Sunday we went to Alton Towers with the lovely Alice and Gina, Wheeeeeeeeeeee!
Weekend just gone I had a lovely tine at Alice's for a BBQ with some amazing ladies and a very late night, but time was well spent having chats about soooo many subjects!
I still haven't really got any friends in Stafford, so it was brill to have been able to spend time with such great people.
I've started running. The local club organises a 12 week beginners course where you meet twice a week and keep upping the time run(ran?) for. I missed the start of the course and jumped in at week 3, and SURVIVED! I will be fine during the zombie apocalypse as long as they are the shuffly type zombies.
