Ants
Oops. Made the mistake of disregarding the couple of ants that we had spotted in the living room recently. Yesterday they successfully led in the first wave of the assault.
Ants don't give me the ICK response that big, hairy, scuttly spiders do, so I don't tend to smush first and ask questions later, but there's more of them toddling around than I am happy about.
I think I've located their entry point, and google has recommended (amongst other things) to kill them with kindness Splenda. Apparently aspartame is even worse from them than for us, so there is now a little mountainous snowscape surrounding the offending join in the skirting board. It's quite interesting to watch. Why does smaller ant make it further than bigger ant? Oooh, that one's sneaky, he's heading up the skirting board- apply Splenda to top of skirting board.
