Alright! After f-ing with it all week, the new copy of the "Daily Planet" has been added to my lj background. I'm proud of this one because the entire paper layout is mine... not copied! Yay, me. And for those of you who may have gone to flickr to try and read the last edition,
librainiac, this time I actually took the time to write real bogus stories that can be enjoyed. However, for some reason, flickr refused to upload the new edition at the same "large" size as the last, so reading it, though possible, may be strenuous and tedious. Therefore, as soon as possible I'll try and upload it to photobucket, so if you want to read it you can. If it is readable without me venturing to photobucket... please let me know and I'll save myself the trouble. Damn you flickr, you've let me down!!
Aside from my photo foibles, the rest of last week and this weekend went pretty well. I joined a gym... I know, laughter is expected. It's true, though. I've been orientating with a personal trainer, and I've signed up for some classes - pilates, cycle training, toning - enough to keep me busy for five out of seven days. And, believe it or not, I'm actually excited. Although, finding out that 53lbs out of your total body weight of 160lbs is disgusting fat (the bad kind, not lean fat), is enough to motivate (and depress) me into action!
- Last week's added bonus: I found out my insurance covers everything at the optomitrist - eye exam, frames, lenses - which means I can finally replace the pair that got stolen out of my car in January... I'll finally be able to see when I drive!
- Honorable mention: "I love the 80s 3D" got me in the mood for Mel Brooks' A History of the World: Part 1, so I had to go out and buy a used copy. I love that freakin' movie!
For those of you I owe money to, I have not forgot about my debts. I've been supporting the boy, as well as myself for the past couple months, so I haven't been left with much after groceries and gas (gym membership is automatically deducted from my paycheck). But, since the boy started working last week, I should be able to take care of some of those loose ends by the end of the month. And trust me, it behooves me to get those ends tied up so I can pay of my uber late excise tax and renue the car registration that expired two months ago!Thank you for your patience... canonization is definitely in your future!
