First weekend without football and I am already going through withdrawal. I'll have to scrape by on the methadone-like regimen of following free agency and the draft. NFL Europe and Arena ball just don't cut it for me.
One bright spot in the coming football drought is the recently announced All-Star Football 2K8. I loved the 2K series of football games and I don't care for the Madden games. When the NFL went exclusively EA/Madden, I was sad. Now the sadness can dissipate. Sure, it won't be the official teams/stadiums/players but if the gameplay is there, I don't mind playing with fictional teams. In my heart, that will always be the Broncos I am guiding to the Super Bowl.
Another upside is I can actually get some stuff done on Sundays. Although this Sunday all I managed to achieve was annoying the piss out of Erin and injuring myself acting like a spaz. Once I adjust I need to spend a few days sorting out and organizing my office and lining up some freelance opportunities.
