a/n: I wrote this fic, because I really, really needed writing something about Martouf and Samantha. Martouf come back!

There are thousands of alternative universes and in at least one of them, Martouf is still alive.

“Hello, Samantha.” Martouf says. He smiles.
“Hi, Martouf.”
“Lantash says hello too.” Martouf says, smiling again.
“Hi, Lantash. You know, it’s still weird - talking with two people in one body.” Sam replies with a little smile.
Samantha walks to Martouf (and Lantash, she corrects herself in her mind) and she hugs him (them) tight. When she realizes, what she is doing, she moves back.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t want…” She apologizes.
“Don’t be sorry, Samantha. You mustn’t be sorry, you shouldn’t be sorry...” Martouf looks happy because of Sam’s hug.
“Please…” When she does not move, he steps up to her.
“I really like you, Samantha.” He says, and she can feel his breath on her face.
“I like you too.” She whispers.
“I hoped for that.” Martouf smiles and he kisses Sam delicate.
He does not have to wait long for her response.

In another universe, Samantha wakes up.
She goes to work, and enters the infirmary. “Martouf’s still alive.” She says.
“What do you mean, Sam? He’s gone. Sam, I’m really sorry.” Fraiser says with a sad voice.
“I know that he’s gone. But last night I had a dream, Janet. He’s still alive in another universe.” Sam smiles a little.
“Are you sure, Sam? Maybe it was just a dream.” Janet does not seem convinced by what Sam says.
“Yes, I am sure. I haven’t had any dreams since I was Jolinar’s host. Sometimes I see fragments of her memories, but that’s all. I never dream… That’s why I know! I tell you, he’s still alive in another universe.” Samantha’s smile is bigger now.
“That’s possible.” Janet admits.

Sometimes Samantha is sad, because Martouf is not there with her, but later, she smiles a little, because he is still alive, and that is all that matters to her.
