Haha! I am in the boat you were in when you wrote this! Haha!

ps. Did you write how I feel about CalPIRG? This weekend is their campus climate challenge summit (on global warming) over at UC Berkeley, if you have the time to attend a workshop... I find CalPIRG to be fantastically practical. Less hopeless thinking, more doing what can be done. You may find it enjoyable.

Yeah dude, fuck this school stuff. For reals. If you have bigger balls than me and want to quit school and start working on a political project next year for the bucks, check this out:

Wanna do something where you will actually make a positive difference
in the world?

Right now the ST. PIRGs are hiring for two different, full-time,
entry level positions. If you are graduating and have no idea what
you want to do next year I recommend looking into the two jobs listed
below.

The Campus Organizer position-
Here you will learn grassroots organizing skills, how to build
coalitions, lobby, develop & implement campaigns and work with the
media. You would work with students on a college campus and help
them realize their potential as leaders in the social change movement
by training them and empowering them with the skills PIRG has to offer.

The Fellowship-
You would develop the same skills listed above: grassroots
organizing, building coalitions, lobbying, developing campaigns, and
working with the media. But instead of working on a campus you would
team up with a senior staff member and work in a larger community.
You would also focus less on developing student leaders and more on
running the campaign by yourself.

Please see attachment for more specific information on both jobs.
Right now we are scheduling first round interviews for both of these
positions within the organization please contact Katherine,
kate@calpirgstudents.org to set up a time to learn more about them,
as well as apply.
