Insomnia brought on by stress. Lovely.
Right now I'm in the middle of finding another car.
This will be the 4th car bought in 2 and a half years. The first one was needed because Carlos got a job that was pretty far away and we could no longer survive on one car. It was a Dodge Stratus. Sort of nice and very roomy. The second one was because 3 months after buying that car, I got in my first major accident. Completely destroyed the front half of my car because I am dumb and didn't see the traffic backup on highway 41 (that is Lake Shore Drive for those in the know) This brings us to the PT Cruiser. It lasted us long enough (about 1 year) before that car was smashed from behind. That brought us to our sweet sweet ride of a 2008 Toyota Camry. So luxurious. So leather seats. So things not rattling or falling off the car.
Well, I guess my Cavalier from college was jealous of all this other car love and has been slowly dying the last few years. A couple of years ago the engine started misfiring. The mechanics I took it to had no idea what was wrong. They would replace one thing after another to no avail. So I just gave up. The car seemed to still run alright and I still had fairly good mileage with it. It was just annoying to drive. I would joke to myself "it has emphasema lol!" while I was waiting at various stoplights. Well its finally on its deathbed. Carlos was driving it and he said there is a loud clicking and whirring noise coming from the engine. The mechanic at his work looked at it and did his best McCoy impression:
"It's dead, Jim"
(I mean he didn't call him Jim. At least I think he didn't)
So now my little college car which I lived in right before I graduated and Took me to Interlochen so so many times. The car I slept in on several occasions after coming home way too late. The car in which I came out to several of my friends in is now going to that big auto auction somewhere in the city.I donated it to Kars4Kids.org . I mean I can trust them right? I shouldn't judge them on their spelling skills...right?
So Bye Bye 98 Cavalier. You had the least amount of rust of them all (2002-2013)
