On the Verge of 21

Hey hey all you movers and shakers! It's that magical time of the week when you get to hear me talk about all the things that I was too lazy to talk about earlier and wonder why I have a journal in the first place.

First thing's first, how are we all tonight? I'm great, I'm dandy. In factI will go so far to say that I'm really "feelin' it!" so to speak, despite all the weekly crappage that has come before.

Last week was mostly a bucket load of meh. I got myself into a panicking frenzy over my major work on Tuesday/Wednesday as, to my complete and utter horror, what I had proposed at the beginning in the year had already been done before. Oh no I hear you all cry. Weep not my friends however, after a much needed vent-fest with Tim (I owe you, really) and a more rational outlook on this whole situation, I discovered that it wasn't really all that bad. In fact, this was all to my advantage. Crisis over, well for the time being anyway...

Oh, just to top it off, the day of which I was freaking out the most (Wednesday for those playing at home) I went to work for a nice lil' three hour shift only to have my car, my poor poor Eric the Unready, involved in a little hit 'n' run on the street. Not only did they badly dent the diver's door, but they also cleaned off my driver's side mirror as well. It was hanging by, no kidding, TWO wires (no, not threads). There was a lovely witness of whom had seen it all happen, wrote the details of the car, called the police and got into contact with my parents yadda yadda. However, it seems that the details were not as precise as well would have liked them to be which leaves me having to pay the excess x___X. If you, the driver of the truck that hurt my poor red Eric, happen to be reading this journal right now (and please excuse my 'French'), fuck you. Seriously.

So Eric's now off somewhere getting some much needed TLC because he was deemed to dangerous to drive as the mirror could fall off any second etc... This has made me unusually upset. I really miss my car, especially when I was going to give him a wash last weekend and after I filled up his tank (it has been a very long time since I have had a complete full tank let me tell you!), Mum's car is alright. I keep stalling it but it does maek really cool indicator noises when you turn them on ^_^ (random info)

Moving on, I had my family birthday party on Saturday. three days before my real birthday. It was really lovely. There wasn't many people and all of them where oldies with some random cousins and that, but I really did enjoy it. Most of the people were all the people I've grown up with, wrote letters to whilst I was in Hong Kong, had 6th birthday parties with, cleaned up in rummy with xD... Anyways, I just thought it was really nice. Don't worry, I will have something for the rest of us later on ^_^

What else?
Our soccer team's into the semi's!!!! I had quite a good game on the weekend and I'm really looking forward to this coming game. That's about it for now, except I wish our team didn't have to get all snotty every time there's a missed call, taunts from the other team and all that. You'd think we could be just a little more mature about it. Mind you, in saying that I feel like punching the head in many an opposing team myself. Pfft -_-

Oh, and guess what? I was officially asked to be a supervisor at work on Saturday! I have been talking about it with one of my supervisor friends, but not to my boss, but she just asked me straight out at the very beginning of my shift. I'm not sure when I am going to start my training, but I think it should be soon. It's good cause it shouldn't clash with everything else too, as my boss only wants me to supervise every second weekend, so her usual weekender can also have every second week off. I'm really excited about it. I've been there for almost 6 years now and it'll be great to have some sort of challenge at my job again ^_^ I get paid a little bit, not much extra too. w00t!

For better or for worse, I'm really getting more and more into Asian drama now. It's like I'm getting a little tired of anime. I'm almost bored of it all looking the same... Speaking of which (well sorta), I've had at least 5 dreams where I have experienced various (better and not rushed) endings to Avatar, most of them ending in Zutara mind you with a few being just completely obscure, but yeah. It still hurts Bryke. It still hurts D:

Hmmmm. Meteor Garden is calling me. I shall take my leave.

In other news, I'm 21 tomorrow. Can you believe it?!! x_X

I also discovered how funny it is to talk to like minded Sigur Ros fans and try to pronounce our favourite songs xD Hehehe, a friend from work was super dooper mega lucky enough to go and see them on Saturday and MET WITH THEM!! Got things signed and shook their hands... OH how my heart wept bitterly that night. Bitterly I tell you T^T

sigur ros, meteor garden, college, drama, avatar, woolies, long post is long, eric, 21
