Spam!
The number of spam comments I've gotten on some of my old LJ entries has grown to excessive amounts! It's driving me crazy! I know I'm not the only one having this issue. I hate to take away anonymous commenting, because I do hear from a few people who don't have LJ journals and I appreciate hearing from them. And as this past weekend has shown, spam isn't restricted to just anonymous posters.
The only solution I can come up with then is to lock a few specific entries from future commenting. It seems to be the same half dozen entries that get all of the spam, so hopefully this will stop the flood for a little while. If a legit person wants to leave a comment to some of those entries, please send me a DM or something - I still want to hear from you! I just don't want Ugg boots, down jackets, prescription drugs, and 15 secret admirers.
