[Action I. Outside of the ruins of 1338 Benny Road.]

[The Doctor jerks awake with a groan. The first thing he notices is that everything hurts. And more than usual. He brushes a hand to his throbbing head and his fingers come back bloody. Probably hit his head, that explains some of the pain. He can still feel his two hearts pounding in his chest, so why does he feel so... human? He grips his head and struggles to stand, wincing at all the places his body screams in pain at the movement.

Then he sees the damage and he feels sick at the sight. So that explains the wreckage. The entire town was...

No, it's unlikely that this is anything other than temporary. There's something more, something closer to the ominous cloud that floats in the sky. He has to go there.

But his family... and Amy and Rory and Charles... what about them? Just because it's temporary, doesn't mean it's not dangerous.

He takes off at a run towards the ruins of his house, stumbling from the pain in his leg. He drops down to his knees as soon as he gets there and begins to dig.]

Jade! Karkat! Gamzee!

[Action II-around town]

[the Doctor is moving about the town, checking on the houses of people he knows. He's got a rather nasty cut on his forehead and he's limping when he moves, but he seems quite determined not to stop at take a rest.

He stops and checks on everyone drone. Of course, they're all dead, he figured that out a long time ago. But he still has to stop and make sure he doesn't leave anyone injured behind.

At every house of someone he knows he leaves a note, scratched into the dirt with a stick.

come along this way
meet at big nasty cloudy thing

[Action III-towards the highway]

[The Doctor is still limping along, making his way towards the mushroom cloud.

Occasionally he'll stop and pick up something off the ground, a burnt leaf, some rubble, even just dirt.

And then proceed to experimentally lick it.

Weirdo.]
