(no subject)
I just went outside...Vee's dog, Joey, was not within site...I always have to keep him within site because he likes to dig out of the yard. Sure enough, he was trying to dig under the fence. What is it about this dog that makes him want to leave the comfortable confines of his back yard? He has a wonderful back yard...it's BIG, it has lots of trees, flowers, places to sniff, hide, play, explore. WHY oh WHY does he want to leave that?
Kinda reminds me of us as Christians...we aren't always satisfied to rest in the shelter of God's arms...we always need to explore what else is out there...just in case we might be missing something. We have a Huge back yard to live and play in, but we're never quite satisfied there...but when we do break free...and get out from under the shelter of God, we come running back...just like Joey...covered in ticks!
