It’s an interesting night … as the polls begin to close and, hopefully, there will be a significant change in the balance of power in the House and Senate. Yes, we Canadians are just as interested as Americans in the outcome of our great neighbor’s elections.
Fingers are crossed … (UPDATE 2:00 a.m. - The Dems have the House - and probably the Senate too!!)
What happened to October? I guess that's the first month I've missed in the years I've been posting in here. But the month zipped by - with trips to Montreal and Toronto and visiting family here in Vancouver. Playing 'grandad' really appeals to me - especially when the grandson is this little 2 1/2 yr old who talks like he's five. He rarely shuts up - I wonder who he inherited that trait from?
The 'big event' for me in October was the FORTIETH Reunion of my graduation class at McGill University in Montreal. We had a four-day 'homecoming' with dinners, cocktail parties, campus tours - and endless sharing of our adventures over the four decades of family, careers and 'life-living'. We enjoyed looking at pictures - then and now - and how the years have impacted on us all. In 1966, the best touch-football team was our Mech-5 (5th yr mechanical engineering class) "Redpants" team - as illustrated: -
And then there's now ... I'm easy to spot - as bald as ever : -
