Piper was not in the best mood today. She wondered if there was a Leap Day curse that turned customers into nitpicky jackasses. In her line of work (the other witchy one), that might actually be possible. She'd have to look into it.

No one was as bad as her annoying, awful boss, though. He was so condescending and bossy and...faux French! Ugh!

Piper was so glad to be on her break right now so she could take this call. "Hiiii. You have the best timing."

Her mood was improving already.

"I'm pretty great," Lindsey responded oh so modestly. "Rough day?"

"Just some demonic customers. Not literally. Although maybe literally." Piper had to think about that. "And my boss. The usual."

"Blow'em up," Lindsey suggested. He was helpful like that. "They won't be able to prove anything."

Piper laughed. "So is that your legal advice?"

[wannabelawyer]

"My expert legal advice," Lindsey corrected. "Ignore the fact that I haven't graduated or passed the bar. Those are minor details."

"Well, I'm pretty sure those two things will happen, so I'm going to believe it's good advice," Piper said, snickering. "But I think he'd be missed. Probably."

"If they don't happen you might need to blow up my bosses," Lindsey said. "We could probably replace yours, right? It'll be better for everyone."

"I probably shouldn't be vanquishing humans," Piper replied. "It would ruin my reputation in the magical community. Or something like that."

"Anyone says anything, we'll sue'em for slander," Lindsey said cheerfully. "It'll be fun."

"Maybe for you...though it would mean we could spend more time together," Piper said. "Maybe it'd be worth it for that."
