Hyperion, Thursday [Thanksgiving]

Thanksgiving at the Hyperion was a tradition by now. Piper and Veronica made sure of it as they once again took over the kitchen. They were cooking enough food to feed a small army.

Various appetizers were available to enjoy (some including bacon) while awaiting dinner. It was just a few hours away.

Cally, against a bit of her better judgment, had shown up, Nicky in tow. She arrived, child in her arms, and announced herself. "So who wants to babysit?" she joked.

"Hey Cally, glad you could make it," Piper greeted, taking a break from kitchen for a few minutes. She smiled at Nicky, giving him a little wave. "I would love to, but that's probably a bad idea while I'm cooking."

"Yeah, he'd probably get himself hurt," Cally admitted. "I should just make V deal with him most of the day. Give her ideas." She chuckled.

"That might be a problem since we're both doing the cooking," Piper replied with a slight chuckle of her own. "Phoebe might help. She's good with kids."

"Yeah, but making Bel flail about babies isn't as fun as Dick," Cally said. "I'm just trying to be the troublemaker today, I guess."

"I miss just having the guys around," Cally said. " I mean, I know everyone's got their own lives and all grown up in their own ways, too. But... sometimes, I just feel like I barely recognize anyone on the island. Except Anakin. He I remember."

"Not really," Piper admitted. "Still going to restaurant school. That's pretty much it. Maybe I should teach again sometime."
