Wow...I'm all for equality in marriage, but I'm not sure my son needed to see your icon when I opened up my LJ. I'm not sure that's such a great choice to pick when posting to a community.
I'm sorry that you didn't want to expose your son to such things, but I am not sorry that I have it as my icon. I don't have it that because of any particular beliefs about marriage, I have it because I think its hot and I am a huge fan of the tv show. If you can't handle people expressing themselves and supporting gay couples then you shouldn't be hanging out in a community full of diverse people. I haven't changed this icon in over 2 years and this is the first time I have had any negative comments about it. If you have issues with your son seeing guys making out then don't let him near the internet, or the television, or even magazines and books. Sorry, but it's quite a universal thing now and it isn't something you are going to be able to avoid easily.
Verbotene Liebe, a German soap opera. Rather addictive even though my German is pathetic at best. I watch the Olli/Christian storyline on youtube with English subs :)
It's only kissing. Doesn't he see you kiss your husband/partner? Unless it's about the whole two-dudes thing, in which case, if your son has questions, it's a great opportunity to express to him your beliefs about equality.
