I've got tortilla soup planned for tonight, but I'm stuck as to what to serve with it!

I'd love something with a bit of a Mexican flair (to fit with the soup), and definitely something that won't cost a lot of money to make - I've got all manner of spices, but very little aside from that. I was thinking something with potatoes, pasta, or rice, ( Read more... )

I usually serve mine with pan-fried cheese quesadillas. Add some cumin and/or chile powder to the cheese OR some diced green chiles. Good stuff!

I do cheese crisps with green chiles and cheese. Serve sour cream and guacamole.

I would either serve it with rice that I cooked with a bottle of salsa in it (it tastes the most like restaurant mexican rice), or jalapeno cheddar corn bread.

I was going to suggest a cornbread too. Can't go wrong with soup and bread!

I was also going to suggest rice with some tomato, onion, peppers, and cilantro if you dig it.
