I just looked up the release date for Joss Whedon's The Cabin In the Woods, and found to my horror that it is the middle of April! For some reason I was absolutely positive it was the end of March, so much so that I'd told friends and we'd made plans for a cinema date in the last week of March. I was very relieved to see Joss didn't actually direct so I have a ready excuse for why to wait until it's free on tv.
Bradley Whitford would have been exciting but as you point out...not in the trailer. It just came off very meh and whatever but maybe like you say, the trailer is just crap and the movie's better.

But then, it took EW for us to realize that we were supposed to have recognized the jock guy.
"That was Thor? No...when did he do that? And why?"
Still, I cheated and read spoilers on IMDB and it has one of the movie monsters that I absolutely hate the most so I'm curious to hear your account.

I am not keen on 'supernatural' monsters in movies full stop to be honest (which is odd as I like them on TV) but in thrillers/horrors in film I prefer the menace to be human. Vampires or Voldemort-type things are decent exceptions, but I don't really like aliens/werewolves/giant bugs etc! x
