Spring is here, finally! I hope this weather holds out for when my mom arrives May 9th. She hates the muggy weather, as do I. Pat is getting work done on our basement bathroom remodel slowly but surely. He has the framework and the electrical basically done (a lot of changes need to be made in an old house) but I can't wait until the drywall goes up, because then it will feel like it's almost finished. It makes me feel good to finally be making some progress on the house. I get overwhelmed so easily. On the up side, Melissa's dad might be able to put in some windows for us at a good price. I hope he can squeeze us in. Most of the windows in the house are 1920s originals, in iffy shape. Some are outright broken. We mapped out 28 windows in need of replacement, and if we could even get half of them done this year, it would be swelligant.
We had an admins luncheon today in celebration of Administrative Professionals Week, wherein the top guy at our site (we don't call him a CEO, but he essentially acts as one) had lunch with the admins. Lunch was catered & we each got a nice, colorful floral arrangement of short roses, carnations, and mums. A little something to brighten up my desk!
I'm not feeling terribly talky, so I'll leave you all with another Separated-at-Birth comparison:
Jordan & Andre's fug baby, Princess Tiaamii. Yes, that's really her name, and yes, I am calling her a fug baby (blame the dumb parents, not me) vs: Old School Courtney Love.
The big doe eyes, the broad nose, the scrunchy lips, plus the pock marks finish the striking parallel.
