no, i can't go to shanghai this year... no mucc live for me TT__TT
i've checked with several travel agents, etc... the package (airticket + accom.) price ranges from 140% - 200% of the price i paid last year, as expected... easter peak season plus this year's ching ming festival, makes it a 5 day long weekend so everyone is going somewhere this holiday... the price is bound to be high (-__-|||)
i could borrow money from my parents, if i'm desperate enough, but nah... too much trouble, and i hate borrowing money...
so i have ordered "libra" (new single, great song!! love the PV) & "psychedelic analysis" (live album) to make up for it... no, not really, nothing beats seeing them live... *rots in a corner*
oh yeah, did i say i missed muse live in hk, also ? *goes back to the corner...*

saw hannibal rising yesterday... very pretty... despite a few differences from the book, which i think were necessary (especially when the book was like "i wished i had waited for the paper back"), i quite like the movie...
Gaspard Ulliel was awesome... there were a few scene, i could almost see/hear anthony hopkins act/say it!! and gotta love the bit he played the ukelele (i can't picture hannibal playing any kind of flute) and sliced paul with the kitana... yum, indeed ^^
gong li''s chara is kinda wierd in the movie, which wasn't really gong li's fault... maybe i still have qualms about the chinese actress playing japanese role written by a westerner thing aka memoirs of geisha syndrome... i mean when i read the book, i was already irked by the fact that harris consciously named her "Lady Murasaki" and even "Murasaki Shikibu" (the author of "tale of genji", the famous novel from heian period... "shikibu" was her father's official position in court ...it's just a pen name/alias, for crying out loud!!)... but when i saw the way they hang up those noh/kabuki masks like some decoration in a 'haunted house' in some 3rd rate amusement park, i was totally wtf o_O like ...
but i like how they changed it to hannibal finding her himself and the how the uncle is dead already (his uncle chara was quite unremarkable in the book), instead of his uncle picking him up from the orphanage...
and i'm also glad they cut out that maid of lady murasaki, she was a totally unnecessay character in the book...
on the other hand, i wished they had showed more of hannibal in the orphanage, his interaction with other kids etc... and i missed his conversation/lessons with Mr. Jakov...
i feel like watching the entire "hannibal series" all over again ...

started "following" a chinese actor, aloys chen... collecting his movies and tv series (dvd) and also bought his 2 albums (cd)... and partly due to his "influence", started to read a lot of simplified chinese books (both fiction & non fiction)... which is so much cheaper than hongkong/taiwan (complex chinese) books...
also, finally made my first pilgrimage to shenzhen to buy books and dvds... i know many ppl in hk do that on monthly (or weekly even, for food and massage, which is still cheaper than hk) basis, so nothing special here... but i'm thinking of going again during the easter break...
