i have to say, all that food looks really delicious. you and julie are soooooo much better prepared than me and tom, but of course we're only doing a week. i think on sunday i'm going to make local tomato paste and apple cider vinegar. also bread if i can get more of that flour.

Wow, now I'm really hungry. Reading your post makes me think about veganism, vegetarianism, and 100-mile diet in the context of Ukraine. If I don't venture out to the supermarket I pretty much just live off of tomatoes, cucumbers, bread, mayonaise, pasta, cheese, onions, and garlic, oh and frozen pierogies! I buy most of my fruits and veggies off the street and go to local small grocery stores to get cheese, bread, water, mayo, canned beans, tuna, jared eggplants, pasta, etc. Minus the pre-packaged foods, I know that most of what I buy is local and fresh. But still, most of the packaged food is at least domestic ( ... )
