I LOVE CHRISTMAS!
So, as of a few days ago, I was feelin' really burnt-out. Not like I was done with all this, but like I needed a break. I am definitely looking forward to haveing this Thursday off, but...
Christmas was AWESOME!
4pm was ridiculously packed, which is normal, only more so than usual. 700-800 people in attendance. The church, including overflow, only sits 600. OOPS! The choir was the full kids choir and the full teen choir. The sound was good, but a little light (as per usual).
6pm was a little bit less insane, but only 4 choir members. The good news was Jenn did really well on the psalm, and Oh Holy Night.
Then I went to Susan's (cousin) for the Christmas Eve party. When I was younger, before the family got so big and before Grandma go so old, every Christmas Eve meant Grandma's. Going to Susan's was different, yeah, but it was a bit of that Christmas Eve magic recaptured. That's what I remember about Christmas Eve.
10pm was AMAZING! I finished the In Dulci Jubilo prelude, and the choir came in with 'Good Christian Men Rejoice,' and it was just awesome. They sounded SO GOOD last night, it was a really good night for music at St. Matt's. Plus, Tim was there. Yeah, I pretend to not care that Mark and Tim couldn't care less about my music making, but that's a lie. It was wonderful to have him there last night.
Today was AWESOME! I got lots of good prezzies, and all of mine were received quite well. I am looking forward to playing with the gadgets.
