My senior jury was today, which went well. Some collector stopped in the gallery while I was talking to the panelists about my work and wanted to by this HUGE mixed media thing I did that is seriously like 8 x 15 feet. I still have to put a price on it, but she bought Rosemary's little photography alphabet book for $250, so I should be makin' some serious moolah on this sucker. She also wanted to buy another sculpture I did that is an organ-like globe made from shellac and maps.
Now that everything is over, it's safe to say that this year has been excellent. Sure, there were stressful instances in which I felt like ripping out every strand of hair on my head, but they usually yielded moments that made them more than worthwhile. I've come a long way artistically, tried a lot of new things, kicked back with some stand-up kids, seen the sites, lead the life, you know. Work hard, party hard; it's what I live by.
