We were talking about truly offensive words, and we came to the conclusion that the two most offensive words these days are "nigger" and "cunt." They are the king and queen of verbal obscenities. The web editors of the Merriam-Webster website deigned to ask surfers to submit words that aren't in the dictionary, but should be. Now, those editors have arbitrarily compiled a top ten list of submissions, including words like "ginormous" and the internet staple "woot." The Omnificent English Dictionary In Limerick Form is a very ambitious project to define-or at least pay tribute to-every word in the dictionary in limerick form. So far, they've only worked their way through the letter A and is just starting on B, but there are already plenty of gems. This one, for the word acrostic, is my favorite:
