I'm Back! I'm Back!!!
When I last posted-ed, Dad and Pa were in a bad bad place! They had losted the internets, the power, and the house... how do you lose those things? I was always used to them being right there!!
Alas, it were true. :( They could not afford to pay for anything anymore. :(
Some AWESOME family (the CHOSEN kind, the kind you like more than your blood family) opened thier home to us, and we have AMAZING DIGS now!! It is a HUGE room, with half of it dedicated to the tv and computers, and half to the bed, my kennel and clothing stuffs like the chest of drawers.
Th'only trick, is that this is a KATS House... lots n' lots of CATS... and Kittens too!!
I am learning to adjust, and the kitties are learning ways to stay away from my big licky-tongue... I snuck a BIG sloppy kiss from Midnight, the elderly kitty the other day, and she was all 'EWWwwww.... that was so gross!!' but I was gone by the time she looked to see what did it- I was on my way out to go potty!
Right now, there is a snow-pock-all-lypse... I dunno what that is. Snow, THAT I see! LOTS and LOTS of it, alllllll over the place!! Pock... is that like Pocky? I don't have any Pocky. Darn. All... see the part about snow. EVERYWHERE! ALLLLLLllll Over the place! ...and th'only thing I think I have heard 'lypse' in is stuff like Dad's zombie movies and Pa's caribbean music, so... are they gunna stay home and party, maybe? meeeeeeebbbbbeeeee?
I dunno.
They are not done dealing with the landlord, who is CRAZY, and NOT happy about us moving. They are worried he will follow through on his threat to just take all thier stuff- they're ALMOST moved out, but then the snow came. It's not so bad where we used to live, but where we are we are snowed IN- we can't get to the old house to finish moving out! Eeeek.
Dad is all stressy... He has nightmares and is worried-worried as we save money up to bail out or storage shed, which they will auction on the 2nd of February, if we don't pay them... we have some money- we are working on more. We have a place to move it all to, already paid for, so. You know... he is just all like a muppet, with his hands in the air and stuff, waiting for the rest of the money and the snow to let us finish stuff!!
Th'only problem *I* am having is not enough TREATS, and my kennel is all broken.
I have a crate, you know, and the stupid pan always cracks and breaks. They charge 80 bucks plus almost 70 for shipping for a new one and they never last... the pan is too cheap. The kennel has been mine all my life, so Dad is thinking we should just buy a new one. They HAVE a new one at the farm supply store down the road, with a more rubbery-flexible pan in it, for a hundred bucks. (Del's in Monroe, Wa) They think maybe when the emergencies are over, they can buy me that and make that work. If not, they will have to find a way to buy a better crate with a STEEL pan, that does not crack when I drop my bones on it, during my mammoth-bone chewing sessions!!
Treats... well sheesh. You'd think those would be a-plenty, but noooooo... our Favourite store is in Marysville, and we don't have money to mail-order like we usually do. (Jeffers pet is inexpensive and just 30 bucks buys a surprising number of GOOD chews there!) Dad says when the emergency is over, he will make a BIG mail order and store them in the garage here, where it's cool and they will be close at hand!
Next time someone can leave the house, I will be all 'bring back cookies!!' and I bet they will at least bring THAT! hrmf. Silly Dad.
Anyway, I will try to tell you almost every day, How I am doing, and how my life is changing... it is VERY different! I am learning all sorts of things, and that's super-awesome! I am super happy right now! This is GREAT!
All the snow I can eat, my own yard to pee in, all kinds of new neighbors who LOVE dogs and HAVE dogs too, a whole HOUSE of people and kitties and FUN... my goodness, I am happy!
I am even learning my tasks better, all of a sudden! Maybe tomorrow Dad can post about THAT!
