AbortiOWNED

This is a really old article (2002) from Salon.com about "partial birth abortions." There seemed to be a lot of misinformation and questions floating around in awful_jackass's post about this earlier this week. I hope that by reading this, some of you will learn something.

It is pretty worthless because of its age. It assumes that an entire category of procedures would be eliminated instead of one variation of one procedure.

Since we are obviously too stupid to understand it all, why don't you point out the parts we don't understand.

See, the issue you're going to have is explaining exactly where I am deficient in my facts or even explaining what my opinion is on partial birth abortion.

Don't mistake me mocking a condescending post with me not being informed.

I just say that deriding someone for offering facts about a given issue is pretty close-minded.

I don't know you at all. I don't know your politics, or where you come from so I have only the post in front of me to judge. And I will say that the tone of the post makes me indisposed to read the article at all, like I'm a child that needs to be schooled on the issue. Saying that you hope "some of you will learn something" seems so condescending to me that it sets my teeth on edge.

Again, I don't know you. I can't say that this was your intent. I can only say that for me, any message you hoped to convey was lost by the method you chose to convey it.
