- Monday the 11th - I invited Irene for dinner on Tuesday. She agreed, then asked what was up. I told her there was nothing up. She said ok. I couldn't contain my laughter, and asked her "Do you honestly believe that nothing was up?" She said yes, and I continued laughing.
- Tuesday evening, the 12th - I brought donuts to our Bible Study session. (To be expounded further in a blog entry near you!) Some of them also asked what was up, but I said "Nothing."
After the Bible Study, Irene and I had dinner. And similar to my previous entry, I could not stop talking about my parents. (Previously it was just about Nny; Now it's both of them.)
I reached the point where I realized this, and started to cry. In front of Irene. I could not explain why. Anyway... I apologized to her, as I was kind of embarrassed that I kept blabbing about my parents. In fact, there were many conversation wherein I just... talked about my parents. She said it was ok (of course she would say that, she's a nice woman). Well, we talked about many other things, so it was ok I guess.
- Thursday the 14th - Well... Many surprises.
I treated our team to lunch. Sadly a lot of our section heads were not around.
Kyle... greeted me a Happy Birthday. I replied to say thanks, and said that Big DIX (the name of our group) should meet up. Which we did on Saturday.
At about 2:30, I was ambushed by... Irene and some of our sisters in the Bible Study as they brought cake. I was in shock and disbelief. That was a very nice surprise.
I had dinner with the family, and our usual "gift-giving" session ensued. From my brothers and their significant others, and my parents, I got G-tech pens, a shirt, Randall Munroe's "Thing Explainer", a new pillow, a powerbank. I hope I did not forget anything.
It was an interesting birthday, and I am glad that it happened.
