HALLOWEEN IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER

And I still have no costume which poses an immense issue seeing that I will be in UNC in about 48 hours, partying it up with some crazy kids on Franklin Street. Maybe I'll end up going in normal clothes...do you think I could pass off as someone normal? I wish I were still young enough to get away with trick-or-treating; alas, if I were to trick-or-treat nowadays, I would receive many disapproving looks and probably no candy. Oh, how I love chocolate. I think the world would be a better place if everyone were given a complimentary piece of chocolate. Chocolate = Endorphins = Happy People. It's such a simple concept and yet, no one's ever brought it up as possible means for world peace.

I love the library system Duke provides. Here I am, sitting and typing a lovely LJ entry for my loyal followers, and enjoying the quiet of Lilly Library. Who cares if it's Saturday night. I have come to the conclusion that I enjoy studying and learning; it helps me feel like I'm not wasting my time and letting my brain deteriorate into a pile of mush. The table I work at overlooks the tennis courts so I can watch the sun set every day. It's very nice to have a place where you don't feel social pressures or can think about serious things without letting them overwhelm you.

These past several days have been fairly crazy, but the library system and all its normalcy keeps me grounded. Thank you Lilly Library, Perkins Library, & Bostock. You three keep me sane.
