So I had a brand new PS3 shipped to me for free. By accident, of course.
I bought an item from a seller, which I received. A few days later, I received another item from the same seller, and there it was, a brand new in box PS3 which I didn't pay for. My initial thought, "Uh oh, did I buy this?" I do buy a lot online, maybe a bit too much, so for a split second there I was afraid I accidentally bought one. I recapped and knew I definitely didn't buy one and found out that it was from a seller I previously bought from.
My next actions had required deep thought and a chibi devil and chibi angel on either sides of my shoulder. Of course, I wanted to keep it. It's a freakin' free PS3. If the seller ever contacted me about it, I could claim that I never received it. I told some of my friends to see what they thought about it. Everyone told me to keep it. But the good person that I am, I don't think I would've enjoyed the PS3 as much, knowing that it wasn't mine to begin with.
So, I contacted the seller and gave it back. Some people would praise me for my noble actions. Others would call me an idiot. Right now, I'm doing a bit of both to myself.
Fortunately, something good came out of this situation (besides a clean conscience). The guy who I returned it to was really thankful that I contacted him. So he said his store would send me a free game. I'm still waiting to see what game it is. Hopefully, it's one I want.
