good news: i met with the chairperson of the arts track today and things are going to work out. i have to write a path statement (like a 3page uber mini thesis) as part of declaring the "concentration." but a class i'm taking now counts as one of two core classes in the department, and up to 3 of my rutgers anthro courses can count toward the cultural studies half of it (to be evaluated), which leaves 1 cultural studies, 4 visual arts, and 1 core. 6 classes. i can certainly complete that in another year and a half. without crunching and panicking, too! because as a junior, i've got first dibs here on out :)
bad news: some shit hit the fan. previous friends-only info+new developments in other areas. this morning was good, this evening was heartwrenching. one day at a time. i need to wait this one out a little.
